Povzetek

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has significantly impacted the delivery of public services, especially
at the local government level. This research examines th e role of digitalization in enhancing local government
services and its potential for improving transparency in governance. Through an analysis of case studies and digital
platforms implemented by local governments, the study identifies the key benefits an d challenges faced during the
adoption process. Findings suggest that while digitalization fosters greater transparency, efficiency, and citizen
engagement, it also presents challenges such as digital divide, privacy concerns, and resistance to change. The paper
concludes with recommendations for improving digital transformation in local governments.
