Vloga slovenske lokalne samouprave pri promociji vinskega turizma

Vino, vinogradništvo in vinarstvo so pomemben temelj gospodarskega razvoja, kulture in turizma, zlasti v vinorodnih delih sveta, kjer se simboli, povezani z vinom, uporabljajo tudi kot lokalni ali nacionalni simboli. Vinogradništvo in njegove komplementarne veje se različno razvijajo v različnih delih sveta – na predispozicijo nadaljnjega razvoja pa pomembno vplivajo tudi stališča različnih identifikacijskih referenčnih skupin, ki jih imajo do uporabe vina in nadaljnjega razvoja stroke. Na podlagi raziskav stališč županov v Republiki Sloveniji, ki bi jo lahko predstavili kot »vinogradniško državo« glede na prisotnost trte, lahko trdimo, da župani s svojim odnosom do vina in poslovanjem pomembno vplivajo na uporabo lokalnega vina za turistično promocijo destinacije. V skladu s tem ugotavljamo, da imajo župani pomembno vlogo pri razvoju »javne politike« v lokalnem okolju. Pri oblikovanju stališč do uporabe vina za promocijo so pomembna neposredna doživetja, kot tudi okolje, iz katerega prihajajo župani, in vsi identifikacijski elementi v smislu kulturne dediščine, tradicije in razvoja veje.
