Povzetek

Cilj članka je prepoznati in obravnavati faktorje, ki oblikujejo odnos lokalnih vodij do metropolitanskega sodelovanja. Fokus je na razmerjih znotraj političnega prostora, postavljen pa je v kontekst dileme institucionalnih kolektivnih ukrepov. Ta članek temelji na 103 poglobljenih intervjujih s politiki in uradniki ter tudi na analizi statističnih in finančnih podatkov. Rezultati na splošno potrjujejo najpogosteje obravnavan sklop dejavnikov, ki vplivajo na sodelovanje v metropolitanskih območjih, a tudi spodbujajo pozornost na podrobnostih. Zelo težko je definirati kaj je pozitivna spodbuda k sodelovanju na splošno – mora biti prilagojena izbranemu prostoru.
