Pomen političnega udejstvovanja in preglednosti v okoljih čezmejnega sodelovanja: analiza obmejnih mest v Evropi

Na evropskih ozemljih obstaja veliko število obmejnih območij, v katerih poteka več projektov in strategij čezmejnega sodelovanja. Vendar pa so ti odnosi čezmejnega sodelovanja znani po visoki stopnji kompleksnosti. Zato je študija vseh spremenljivk in dejavnikov, ki bi lahko vplivali na uspeh ali neuspeh teh projektov in strategij čezmejnega sodelovanja, ključnega pomena za doseganje dolgoročne teritorialne trajnosti. V zvezi s tem ta dokument analizira obmejno sodelovanje v osmih projektih čezmejnega sodelovanja (sedemnajst evropskih mest), ki se osredotočajo na politično angažiranost in preglednost. Poleg tega študija omogoča opredelitev in izolacijo štirih glavnih kritičnih dejavnikov, ki jih je treba upoštevati s političnega vidika: (I) povezljivost – gibanje med mesti; (II) politična preglednost in zavezanost; (III) skupni cilji in glavni načrti; in (iv) magnet za mlade in nadarjene ljudi.
