Učinek decentralizacije na gospodarsko rast v Koreji: vloga izvajanja lokalne avtonomije

Ta študija je preučevala učinke decentralizacije na gospodarsko rast in je, za razliko od prejšnjih študij, prav tako empirično analizirala kako izvajanje lokalne avtonomije vpliva na gospodarsko rast. Naša analiza vladnih podatkov iz 16 metropolitanskih območij, ki je zajemala obdobje od 1989-2012, je pokazala, da je decentralizacija imela dosledne pozitivne učinke na stopnjo rasti tako realnega kot nominalnega regionalnega bruto domačega proizvoda (RBDP). Ti rezultati nakazujejo, da regionalna decentralizacija izboljšuje učinkovitost dodeljevanja sredstev v javnem sektorju in torej prispeva h gospodarski rasti.
