Ozadje izvršnega direktorja in uspešnost podjetja - Dokazi iz kohezijskih regij vzhodne in zahodne Slovenije

Povzetek

Namen študije je bil ugotoviti, ali ozadje izvršnega direktorja (tj. starost, področje in stopnja izobrazbe, ter trajanje mandata na najvišjih vodstvenih položajih) vpliva na uspešnost podjetja (v smislu neto donosnosti sredstev) in, če je tako, kakšne so morebitne razlike med dvema kohezijskima regijama v Sloveniji, tj. vzhodno in zahodno Slovenijo. V vzorec je bilo vključenih 109 menedžerjev, ki upravljajo podjetja v vseh statističnih regijah in različnih področjih dejavnosti. Študija ni uspela potrditi povezave med ozadjem izvršnega direktorja in uspešnostjo podjetja glede na vzhodno in zahodno kohezijsko regijo. Vendar pa smo lahko potrdili, da so kazalniki uspešnosti podjetij v vzhodni kohezijski regiji bistveno nižji kot v podjetjih zahodne kohezijske regije. Razlog za to je mogoče izslediti na področja dejavnosti podjetij in njihove razlike med regijami
