Methods The subjects of this study were 260 patients admitted to the Department of Gynecology of a tertiary hospital from March 2022 to June 2023.130 patients in the control group used the conventional doctor-patient communication mode, and the remaining 130 patients in the observation group used the doctor-patient communication mode constructed on the basis of interpersonal respect dimensions to analyze and assess the adherence rate of patients, the gynecological oncology knowledge mastery score, and the satisfaction rate of the patients after the implementation of the relevant nursing operations, Self-care awareness score and satisfaction rate. Results The compliance rate of patients in the observation group was 97.69%, which was significantly higher than 80.00% in the control group. The scores of gynecological oncology knowledge acquisition and self-care awareness of patients in the observation group were (88.22±6.32) and (88.22±6.32), respectively, which were significantly higher than those of (73.61±7.22) and (71.22±5.44) in the control group. The overall satisfaction rate of patients in the observation group was 96.92%, which was significantly higher than that of 79.23% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Interpersonal respect-based doctor-patient communication model can effectively enhance patients' health cognitive level, promote the transformation of self-health management behavior, and provide a practical path for building a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.
