Workforce management is necessary for improving performance in organizations and achieving sustainable development. The purpose of this research study is to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) based workforce performance management framework that includes both IoT and deep learning technologies to allow for real-time monitoring of worker activities, evaluation of worker performance and compliance with safety regulations. Operational data will be collected from IoT devices and worker behaviour will be analysed through deep learning algorithms with the results presented as actionable insights in a decision support dashboard. The proposed framework will improve productivity, safety in the workplace and decision making by managers while enhancing employee well-being and promoting responsible use of resources. The proposed framework will enable digital transformation of an organisation and provide a scalable, efficient and socially responsible approach to workforce (workplace) management.
