Fiscal decentralization has emerged as a pivotal strategy for enhancing the effectiveness of local governance and
improving public service delivery. This paper explores how fiscal decentralization empowers local governments by
providing them with greater control over financial resources, enabling more efficient allocation and management of
public funds. The methodology includes a review of case studies from multiple countries that h ave implemented
fiscal decentralization reforms. The findings highlight the positive impact on governance quality, service delivery,
and citizen satisfaction. This study underscores the significance of financial autonomy in fostering local
