The present study aims to examine a range of research works that have addressed the difficulties facing the inclusion of children with autism in mainstream schools. To this end, fifteen recent field studies dealing with the challenges of integrating children with autism into regular schools were selected. The researchers adopted the post-analytical approach in this study, focusing the analysis on the following elements: research methodology, sample, data collection tools, statistical methods, and results. Finally, the study presents the suggestions and recommendations proposed in the reviewed research works.
