Abstract

Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder discusses the importance of distinguishing autism spectrum disorder from other psychological and neurological conditions that may overlap in symptoms. It focuses on the challenges faced by specialists during the diagnostic process, such as the similarity of symptoms with other disorders like intellectual disabilities, Rett syndrome, childhood schizophrenia, and communication disorders.

This is based on the latest updates in classification systems, diagnostic tools, and follow-up and care programs. The article also highlights the role of comprehensive clinical assessments, specialized evaluation tools, and accurate behavioral observations in achieving precise diagnoses.

It concludes by emphasizing the importance of early and accurate diagnosis to ensure appropriate treatment and improve the quality of life for affected individuals and their families.
