Vpliv mandata občinskega političnega odločevalca na fizično urbanizacijo na Kitajskem: empirična študija na podlagi profilov sekretarjev občinskih strankarskih odborov

Hitra urbanizacija na Kitajskem v zadnjih 30 letih predstavlja pomembno temo v svetu. Vendar pa le malo študij proučuje hitro prostorsko urbanizacijo z vidika lokalnih odločevalcev (zlasti sekretarjev občinskih strankarskih odborov). Lokalni guvernerji se vedno zavzemajo za napredek, saj se soočajo s konkurenčno birokratsko hierarhijo. Namen te raziskave je zato pojasniti lokalno odločevalno gonilno silo prostorske urbanizacije prek analize interakcije med mandatom lokalnih odločevalcev in širitvijo mest. Na podlagi panelnih anket v vseh 286 mestih na ravni prefektur po vsej Kitajski med letoma 2000 in 2014 je bila izvedena regresijska analiza z uporabo Stata 14.0. Izsledki raziskave kažejo, da imajo sekretarji občinskih strankarskih odborov na splošno velike spodbude za spodbujanje hitrega mestnega razvoja. Poleg tega sekretarji občinskih strankarskih odborov, ki so premeščeni iz drugih občin, izvajajo hitrejši in obsežnejši mestni razvoj kot tisti, ki napredujejo na lokalni ravni.
